Location: Newtown, Llandrindod or Aberystwyth
We are the team responsible for managing, inspecting, maintaining, and improving over 1,000 kilometres of roads in North and Mid Wales, including the A55 tunnels, over 2,000 road structures and many other assets. It’s our job to keep the road network moving, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
That’s a lot of roads. But we don’t stop there, we are also tasked with protecting natural roadside habitats and reducing the environmental impact of activities along the road network. We’re busy planning, planting, and protecting the land to make sure every journey is greener and full of happy wildlife.
Managing the road network day-to-day is a big job, so behind our frontline teams there’s a bigger behind-the-scenes team that provide support in ways that are essential but not always visible to the public.
THINK. TRY. THRIVE.
