Purpose of the Post.
• Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
• Supporting care providers in Gwynedd with care staff digital developments for training and learning
Responsibility for functions . e.g. staff, budgets, equipment
• Relevant digital equipment laptop , tablets etc
Main Duties
• Supporting care providers to identify and develop the digital skills of their staff so that they can participate in development and training activities
• Working with companies and digital training provision agencies to tailor suitable programmes for groups of staff
• Supporting individuals and managers in creating suitable development plans
• Supporting Digital Champions schemes and maintaining suitable groups
• Share and collect up-to-date information on relevant digital developments including grants/resources with care providers
• To build relationships with care providers and training providers in order to influence national, regional and local developments.
• Supporting the Workforce Development Team with the use of digital learning in creative ways
• Creating suitable resources to support digital learning
• Develop and deliver tailored training sessions and digital workshops for social care staff in the workplace including going out to specific homes or areas.
• Assess digital training needs across teams and service areas, and design appropriate learning materials and resources.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff to improve confidence and competence in the use of digital systems (e-Learning, care plans etc).
• Collaborate with IT, digital officers, and social care managers to ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance measures.
• Maintain and update online training platforms, guides, and resource libraries.
• Supporting the adoption of new digital technologies in social care settings.
• Ensure that all training adheres to data protection, confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
• Keeping up with digital advances in social care and recommending improvements to training and systems.
• Managing an e-learning LMS platform for social care
• Create and adapt e-Learning modules and other digital learning modules
• Managing digital tools needed for training
• Responsibility for self-development.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
• Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
• Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
• Responsibility to report any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
