Role Purpose
The Communities Officer will lead on developing and delivering community engagement activity to grow Byw’n Iach’s membership and reach new audiences. The role focuses on building strong partnerships with local groups, voluntary organisations, and NHS stakeholders, ensuring our services are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.
The postholder will play a key role in driving membership growth, increasing participation, and supporting income generation through targeted outreach and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Development
- Proactively identify and engage with new and underrepresented audiences across the community
- Develop and deliver outreach plans to increase awareness and participation
- Build trusted relationships with local clubs, societies, charities, and voluntary groups
- Act as a visible ambassador for Byw’n Iach within the community
Partnership and Stakeholder Management
- Establish and manage partnerships with community organisations and key stakeholders
- Work closely with NHS teams, social prescribers, and health professionals to promote services and referral pathways
- Identify opportunities for joint initiatives that support health and wellbeing outcomes
Marketing and Campaign Delivery
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and deliver targeted campaigns to attract new members
- Provide community insight to shape campaigns and messaging
- Support the development of inclusive and accessible marketing materials
Membership and Income Growth
- Contribute directly to increasing membership numbers and engagement levels
- Support initiatives that drive participation and revenue growth
- Identify barriers to access and develop solutions to improve inclusivity
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Track and report on outreach activity, partnerships, and campaign impact
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve engagement approaches
- Provide regular updates and insights to the Marketing Manager
