Purpose of the post
•Organise administrative support for the workers of the Children's Teams in the Dwyfor Area Office.
•Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the centre of everything we do.
Responsibility for functions

Main duties
•Typing reports and letters.
•Organise and take minutes in meetings and case conferences.
•Collect statistics and input information onto a database.
•Take and transfer messages.
•Supervise and organise the work of the part-time clerk. 1/2.
•The Council implements a continuous programme of training and personal skills development together with an appraisal process which contributes towards this; the post-holder is expected to comply with this.
•This is an illustrative list only. The post holder will be expected to be part of the process of managing and monitoring performance in accordance with the requirements of the post and to implement any other duties in accordance with the nature of the post and its scale in accordance with the request of the Head of Service/Manager or the Strategic Director.
•Responsibility for self-development.
•Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
•Operate within the Council’s equal opportunities and equality policies.
•Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management standards and guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
•Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
•Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
•Responsible for reporting any concern or doubt that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
