Purpose of the Post.
 • Ensure that the people of Gwynedd and Anglesey are at the heart of everything we do. 
• Manage the work of the Post-16 Education Consortium for Gwynedd and Anglesey.
• Co-ordinate post-16 and 14-19 partnership courses in Gwynedd and Anglesey schools, including Grŵp Llandrillo Menai courses.
• Be responsible for completing the Welsh Government’s statutory documents in relation to the field.
Responsibility for Resources . e.g. staff, budgets, equipment
 • Act as line manager for two members of staff.
• Be responsible for the Gwynedd and Anglesey 14-19 Network grant and the Seren Network grant.
Main Duties .
 Manage the work of the Post-16 Education Consortium
• Jointly plan the Consortium’s business plan with the Senior Education Managers of both counties and Colleges and ensure its implementation, monitoring its outcomes.
• Report on the quality of provision in the 14-19 and post-16 fields to the County Quality Board (CQB) of both counties as required.
• Be responsible for making applications for grants relevant to the post-16 and 14-19 sectors.
• Ensure effective use of the Consortium’s data system and travel system and website and agree on terms with providers.
• Co-ordinate with colleges and other agencies to nurture and develop meaningful relationships with local/regional businesses and with other partners to support a better understanding of local requirements, and increase the opportunities for apprenticeships and access to higher education.
• Establish and maintain productive links with the North Wales Ambition Board and Medr.
• Prepare reports and undertake research work in accordance with the instruction of members of the learning partnership and Leadership Board.
• Be responsible for the Gwynedd and Anglesey 14-19 Network grant.
• Review the Consortium’s Seren Network, addressing the outcomes of activities in particular.
• Co-ordinate post-16 and 14-19 partnership courses between Gwynedd, Anglesey and Grŵp Llandrillo Menai 
• Promote and facilitate collaboration between the partnership’s schools and colleges.
• Be responsible for setting the agenda and administering the meetings of the Consortium’s area partnership groups and learning partnership meeting.
• Co-ordinate the partnership groups’ activities.
• Co-ordinate the 14-19 curriculum within the rules of the grant.
• Ensure that open evenings and taster sessions for learners are organised as required, and find ways of giving the learner a voice through the areas of responsibility. 
• Ensure a self-evaluation system and data and information sharing protocols for the partnership courses.
Be responsible for completing the Welsh Government’s statutory documents in relation to the field
• Assist in the work of gathering information and reporting on pupils’ destinations.
• Complete the statutory documents in relation to the field and report to the Government and Medr on the learning programmes as needed.
• Report on post-16 performance measures (as needed).
• A responsibility for self-development.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
• A responsibility for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines and standards. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
• A commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s carbon footprint.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
• A responsibility to report any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
