Purpose of the Post.
• Assist in coordinating and implementing the work of receiving and processing planning applications,enforcement cases and appeals, service requests, licensing notifications and applications, providing a land charges service and administrating the land charges registry and searches.
• Receive fees, scan and digitise information and all other associated duties.
• Make effective use of the systems used in accordance with the requirements of the Planning and Public
• Protection Service.
• Ensure the delivery of a high quality Service that is in line with the Council's corporate policies and strategies.
• Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the centre of everything we do.
Responsibility for functions . e.g. staff, budgets, equipment
• Finance – Process fees received by the Service in accordance with the authority's financial guidelines and
the Service's work arrangements.
• Equipment – Responsibility for personal equipment and specialist equipment associated with technical tasks.
Main Duties
• Responsibility for self-development.
• Coordinating and implementing the work of registering and processing planning applications, planning enforcement cases and appeals, registering and processing service requests, licensing applications and notifications, implement and administrate the land searches and land charges registry and the common land register.
• Receive and deal with service fees.
• Process funds received by the Service in accordance with the authority's guidelines.
• Input information in the service's computer systems and process information as needed along with scanning, plotting and registering.
• Coordinate, harmonize and respond to land charges enquiries.
• Undertake research work and gather information on the requirements of the Service and external bodies.
• Offer initial advice to service users on planning, public protection and land charges matters.
• Responsibility for maintaining the service's registers e.g. conservation areas, listed buildings, conservation and trees within the area, land charges, common land and planning.
• Delegate on behalf of the Support Officer as required.
• Carry out other support work for the Service such as dealing with post, travelling costs, administrating appeals, filing and processing invoices as needed.
• Responsibility for self-development.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.

• Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
• Responsible for reporting any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
Special Circumstances . e.g. the need to work unsociable hours, special working arrangements etc.
• The need to work unsociable hours at particular times. The flexibility to move temporarily to various locations if the need arises.
