Vacancy: Senior Policy Manager – Public Sector Employers

Social partnership is a way of working that brings together the government, employers and trade unions on areas of shared interest to identify and implement solutions that bring about better outcomes.  

The Workforce Partnership Council (WPC) is a model of social partnership which brings together Welsh Government, Trade Unions and public service employers to address shared challenges and opportunities for public services and the public service workforce in Wales.

This post holder will be one of three Senior Policy Managers, recruited from each of the partners - Trade Unions, Employers and Welsh Government - to lead on social partnership engagement with devolved public services in Wales, deliver the WPC work programme and provide the Secretariat to the WPC. This post holder will be the Senior Policy Manager recruited from a Public Sector Employer background. 

The post holder will be responsible for delivering specific pieces of work in line with the WPC’s work programme, working directly to the Head of Social Partnership Engagement. The specific nature of the post will evolve over time as the detailed nature of the work programme develops.

Salary: £43,785 to £51,839.

Work pattern: Full time (applications are welcome from people who work part time, as part of a job share or who work full time).
