This exciting job gives you the opportunity to work two days from the office and three days a week from home.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic officer to support NMWTRA in the management and administration of fleet activities across all its site in North & Mid Wales.
The role will involve managing a newly procured vehicle tracker system, the purchase and renewal of fleet vehicles and the operational management of vehicles.
In addition, the role will support the Agent in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on all the Agency Facilities natural resource usage and cost data with a view to inform future initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs and meet Net Zero 2030 targets.
The successful candidate will also be required to support the Agent with managing it’s Quality Management System, compliance with data protection act and the management of risk.

Job Description
Purpose of the Post.
NMWTRA currently operate from 8 office locations, 2 highways depots and 4 strategic salt storage facilities. We also operate a fleet of vehicles used by NMWTRA staff to undertake their operational responsibilities.The purpose of the post is to: -
1. Manage and be the single point of contact for the agency vehicle tracker system and liaise with our commercial partner on all matters relating to the system
2. Lead on the analysis of fleet usage and advise the Agent how to effectively utilise its fleet of motor vehicles in an efficient and safe manner. Also ensuring that the Agent has a fleet that continues to meet the operational and business needs whilst also working towards the commitment of achieving Net Zero by 2030.
3. Monitor, analyse, and report on all the Agency Facilities natural resource usage and cost data with a view to inform future initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs and meet Net Zero 2030 targets
4. Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.Responsibility for functions . e.g. staff, budgets, equipment
• Lap top, monitor, docking unit, DSE assessed office equipment to allow effective remote and home working, mobile phone

Main Duties
Fleet Management and Administrationa) Vehicle Tracker System Management
• To lead on the development, reporting and use of the vehicle tracker system.
• To be the main point of contact between the Agent and the vehicle tracker service provider.
• To lead on training new / existing users of the fleet tracker system.
• To maximise the information available from the vehicle tracker system in assisting the Agent in:-
o Reducing its carbon footprint;
o Acheive maximised utilisation / deployment of it’s fleet of vehicles;
o Ensuring H&S of its workforce and traveling public;
o Ensuring compliance with its vehicle policy;
o Ensure compliance with Data Protection Actb) New Vehicle Procurement
• To lead and manage the vehicle renewals programme, ensuring that the agent has a suitable vehicle provision to continue to deliver services identified in its agreements with Welsh Government (WG).
• To estimate budget requirement for annual vehicle renewals
• To lead in identifying suitable vehicles that meet the business needs along with the strategic requirements of the Agency and WG in achieving a net zero target by 2030.
• To lead in the procurement of new vehicles and the disposal of those that are no longer required.c) Vehicle Operational Management
• Ensure and arrange that new vehicles procured are fitted with appropriate chapter 8 markings and equipment for use on Trunk Roads in Wales prior to use.
• To ensure that the Agents fleet of vehicles are operated in-line with legislation and best practice.
• Develop an Agency vehicle booking system to improve utilisation of vehicles and to enhance efficiency.
• Liaise with Service Providers / Partners regarding repair and maintenance of vehicles.
• Review Service Level Agreement with Providers (SLA) to ensure suitable provision within network area along with value for money.
• Monitor use of fuel card / charging cards and evaluate data regarding consumption and carbon footprint.
• To lead in monitoring that the daily vehicle checks are completed.
• Liaise with all Agency staff regarding any fleet related queries.
• To lead on creating SharePoint based content for staff on the Agency Intranet regarding fleet management.
• To manage the centralised register of fleet vehicles operated by Agent.
