Purpose of the post
•Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
•The Administrative and Finance Officer will work within Gwynedd Council's Business Support Team. The officer will support the team's activities, including distribution, and monitoring of business grants and loans, responding to queries, and engaging with the business community
Responsibility for functions
•Personal equipment (IT equipment, mobile phone, etc.)
Main duties
•Establish, develop and maintain recording systems in relation to the budget and activities of the Business Support Team.
•Undertake monitoring visits
•Responsibility for providing performance data and helping with financial claims and evidence
•Maintain financial management systems
•Monitor the programme budget according to profiles
•Create and prepare financial and performance reports
•Provide information on financial details regarding funding / grant applications.
•Provide a financial administration service to the team - orders, invoicing, transfers and all other financial instructions.
•Establish and maintain monitoring systems for the outputs and outcomes of different work streams.
•Record the successes of the programme according to its indicators, targets, performance targets and outcomes, collecting case studies and customer satisfaction forms.
•The post holder is expected to be aware of the requirements of Health and Safety legislation and cooperate with the Faculty Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with the relevant requirements.
•Responsibility for self-development.
•Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
•Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
•Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
•Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
•Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
•Responsibility to report any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
Special circumstances
•The job holder is expected to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
•The office holder should have a full driving licence and private car use.
