Main Duties
From the first day, the professional trainee will contribute to day-to-day leadership and management work and have the opportunity to work on high-level projects under the supervision of experienced managers. Although the Corporate Support Department will be the 'home' of the professional trainee, the successful candidate will gain experiences by being placed within departments and services across the Council.
- The professional trainee will gain experiences in leading people and project management, developing networks at all levels of the organisation and completing a well-known qualification in public sector leadership.
- This will provide the individual with a solid foundation to develop a successful leadership and management career in the Council.
- Develop the highest possible quality leaders to take up key leadership positions within the Council
- Giving future leaders the opportunity to gain the experiences, networks and qualifications needed to provide a solid foundation to embark on a leadership and management career
- Gain experience of working within departments across the Council
- Contribute to managerial work and high level projects under the supervision of experienced managers in a range of services across the county

As a member of staff at Gwynedd Council, you have the following responsibilities:
Responsibility for self-development.
