Main Duties
Overview
The lighting service is responsible for everything electrical that you see along the highways through Gwynedd, this includes street lights, signs that have lights on them and power for CCTV. Street lights are a very important part of our day to day life as they create an environment that makes people feel safe and gives them the confidence to go out at night and continue living their lives.
All Gwynedd Council apprentices are expected to demonstrate the following:

Here is an overview of the main duties of the job:
Repairing and installing new equipment throughout Gwynedd, and working from a height.
Working with an experienced electrician
Receive experience of all electrical work in the lighting field
Opportunities to receive other qualifications relevant to the field
Work with an experienced electrician every day and learn how to do the job safely and to the relevant standard.

As a Cyngor Gwynedd member of staff, you have the following responsibilities:
Responsibility for self-development.
Ensure that the Health and Safety rules in the workplace and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy are followed
Follow the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
Responsible for managing information and to ensure that personal information is treated appropriately
Commit to the Carbon Management Plan and encourage people to reduce the Council’s Carbon Footprint
Responsibility to report any suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused
