Main Duties
Overview
With 450 vehicles on the Fleet, the successful apprentice will gain experiences of maintaining small cars to large sweepers, from minibuses to waste collection trucks. He will also have opportunities to inspect, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.
All Gwynedd Council apprentices are expected to demonstrate the following:

Here is an overview of the main duties of the job:
Working sideways along side experienced Fleet Technicians (Mechanics), on a wide range of heavy vehicles.
Experience elements of customer care and also learn effective communication skills when discussing vehicle and vehicle issues with co-workers and "customers" i.e. Council vehicle drivers.
Maintenance of small cars to large sweepers, from minibuses to waste collection trucks.
Vehicle inspection
Vehicle diagnosis
Repair a wide range of vehicles.
Receive further training as part of the service's training matrix.
