Purpose of the Post.
• Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
• Provide an exciting cultural, heritage and arts based engagement and learning programme at Storel and for communities throughout Gwynedd.

Responsible for monitoring the project's actvities budget
Main Duties .
• Research, develop, organise, promote and implement an engagement and informal learning programme for the community which focus’s on culture, heritage and the arts in accordance with the priorities of the Shared Prosperity Fund Plan; Gwynedd Council Plan; Storiel Business Plan; "Fusion" objectives; Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015
• Carrying out cultural, heritage and artistic activities with the budget available
• Marketing and communicating the work of the project and the sites to the public and identifying any opportunities of interest e.g. festivals and national organizations to co-market activities eg Kids in Museums / Welsh Music Day / Fun Palace etc
• Increase the numbers who engage and receive opportunities through the programme and activities
• Contribute to the discussion with the Archives and Museums Service Education Officers and how Storiel can contribute to the new Curriculum for Wales
• Liaise effectively, as the first point of contact, with community groups, individuals, public agencies and other organizations in order to extend the programme to the communities
• Co-work with Storiel and the Community Arts team to identify collaboration opportunities; to research and hold exhibitions and projects in the community, including the Storiel satellites and on websites
• Organise Fusion activities
• Share advice, information and guidance with relevant communities and organizations regarding community outreach programs that focus on culture, arts and heritage
• Collaborate and give input to the plans to develop a Cultural Network and Culture Plan for Gwynedd
• Investigate grants to support the activities for the future
• Responsibility for supervising groups of children, young people, vulnerable adults and the general public in informal learning activities
• Monitor, collect feedback, data and statistics and evaluate the activities and programs keeping a database of case studies. Need to report specifically on the Shared Prosperity Fund and Fusion outputs and evaluation
• Contribute to the project's monitoring reports by regularly preparing progress reports and monitor and report on the expenditure of the activities budget
• Be part of the Storiel team and undertake any other equivalent and reasonable duty that is equivalent to the salary level and level of responsibility of the position
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.

• Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
• Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
• Responsibility to report any worry or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused
• Required to be in post from November/December 2023 until December 2024.
• Position is for 37 hours a week.
• Occasional work on weekends, bank holidays and during the evening.
• Post financed by Shared Prosperity funding
