Purpose of the Post.
• Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
• Key member of the Talent and Apprenticeships team within the Learning and Development Service
- To ensure an effective learning and development service for staff and Elected Members of Gwynedd Council
- To contribute specifically to Talent, Apprenticeships and Tomorrow's Plans - which are very important elements of the Council's Workforce Planning for the future
• Provide administrative support to all the Council's Talent and apprenticeship schemes including organizing events, marketing, recruitment, induction, recording and quality assurance
• Assist the team to raise awareness and develop a positive mindset about academic and vocational career paths in the Council

Main Duties
• Implement administrative arrangements and procedures under the guidance of the Talent and Apprenticeship Lead
• Provide the highest quality administrative support for all talent and apprenticeship schemes
• Provide support for a range of elements of the team's work e.g.
- Support services to apply for new jobs
- Administration and confirmation of applications
- Recruitment and appointment arrangements
- Promotion
- Recruitment including Recruitment Centres
- Appointments
- Induction
- Development
- Registering individuals on learning programmes
- Organizing consultative meetings
- Requests from Council staff for on-the-job training (work based learning)
• Organizing meetings e.g. mentoring, network meetings and meetings with different providers
• Administration of the Apprenticeships and Cynllun Yfory funds e.g. Preparing Orders, Processing invoices
• Taking minutes at meetings
• Process payments for qualifications
• Enter confidential staff information on different systems correctly and keep it up to date
• Create a system and manage confidential documents appropriately
• Record relevant information e.g. interest from individuals and external stakeholders
• Collect relevant data at the request of the team for analysis
• Monitor the general email box and messages on social media on a daily basis
• First point of contact for external organizations such as providers
• Coordinating and facilitating recruitment arrangements and centres
• Organising, brokering, and negotiating with managers and ensuring the quality of work experience placements
• First point of contact dealing with basic inquiries and requests from the public, potential applicants, employers, managers, and staff
• Contact point for well-being and Equality issues for the service and all individuals on the plans in these two areas.
• Provide administrative support for other elements of the service as required.
• Responsibility for self-development.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
• Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
• Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
• Responsibility to report any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
