REPORT from W. Rowland manager of Percival and Co., Votty and Bowydd Slate Quarries, Ffestiniog to C. A. Thruston Esq. about THE CWMBREICHIAU SLATE QUARRY where he claims that `slates and slab are there in abundance and of good quality’ and ’there is every probability of good returns upon the outlay if it be skilfully worked and managed.’ He also gives s report on THE GYLLELLOG SLATE QUARRY - `with a moderate capital this quarry will turn out to be a very profitable concern.
