Two halves of wrecked coaster on rocky shore, the motor vessel Hindlea near Moelfre, Anglesey. 402 tons gross. Built 1941 by Henry Scarr Ltd., at Hessle as the Empire Isle for Ministry of War Transport. 1945 sold to Cowben, Longstaff & Co. Ltd., London as the Suffolkbrook. 1948 sold to Lovering & Sons Ltd., Cardiff, renamed Fennel. In 1959 she was lengthened and deepened in West Germany and tonnage increased to 506. Purchased by Hindle Shipping Company, Cardiff and renamed Hindlea. Driven ashore at Moelfre point 27th October 1959 and crew rescued with great courage by Moelfre Lifeboat.
