LETTER: H[ugh] Manley, Caernarfon to Lord N[ewborough], thanking him for the certificate of character given him re the Insurance Company’s Agency. He has virtually arranged with Mr. ? Tonadthwaite, the agent for the City of Dublin ? Company, that he will represent the Company after their new steamer is launched. H.M. has stayed to arrange Henry’s accommodation; the senior clerks in Henry’s department are anxious for him to get on the progressive list. Mrs. William Roberts has been gossiping re the intention to set up a newspaper.
