LETTER: David Williams, at London, to Lord Newborough. Williams writes concerning the Porthdinllaen Railway, stating that ten thousand pounds have already been paid to the Railway’s bankers at London. He reports that shares for the new Railway Co. are selling well at 17/6 to 22/6 premium. He mentions Mr. Chadwick and Mr. Gore, two men prominently connected with the Railway Co. He closes by giving legal details concerning the railway, namely the passing of a Bill through Parliament and of a local act. Document defective: Stamp cut off.
