Henry Richardson, Secretary of the Annuity Society to Lord Newborough. Richardson writes that Lord John Russell had fixed Wed., 30th April for the annual festival of the General Annuity Society, at which event his Lordship is requested to preside as a steward. Richardson lists other Gentlemen who have already accepted stewardships at the event and notes at the end of his letter that the stewards’ fine is limited to one guinea.
