LETTER: William Elias of the Abbey, Maentwrog to Lord Newborough. Elias passes on a letter concerning the new Church at Ffestiniog to his Lordship. He assesses the value of land adjoining the Church Yard. Document defective: Stamp cut off. Enclosed: LETTER: Griffith Jones from Ffestiniog to Lord Newborough. Jones expresses his concern that the Church committee at Ffestiniog proposes to build a "privet" [?private] road through fields behind the Church Yard. He complains that such an undertaking would damage his access to fields where thousands of cattle are shod. Jones requests that this letter be burnt immediately by his Lordship lest its consequences prove troublesome for him.
