LETTER: Thomas Werninck, Camberwell to [Lord] Newborough. He sends him the Season’s Greetings and comments on Maria’s intended. He discusses the introducement of his Lordship’s mother, [Maria Stella Petronilla], in the recent conspiracies in Paris, and suggests that he writes to Louis Philipe to explain her situation. Her creditors, he thinks, may have created the recent hubbub in order to get him to pay his mother’s debts. He gives his Lordship the address of a woman who will do the chairs, cheaply, and enquires after the hunting in the area.
