LETTER: Spencer Wynn in London, to G. Bettiss, Tower House, Caernarfon, expressing his pleasure that he had come to terms with John Williams about Segroit Mill. He felt that it would be as well to continue repayment for the £40 allowed for timber and slates in four instalments. The fenders for the boats had better be sent to Robert Roberts who had ordered them and who could check that they were properly made. He could keep the tax papers until his return at the latter end of the following week. He could not get Farrers’ to come to some conclusion about Elias Jones’ account. He had heard that before Lord Anglesey wrote it was hinted that he would most likely decline his offer. The changeable weather did not suit his brother, whose recovery was slow. He asks about the arrears and asks that Griffith Williams be asked about the arrears in his collection. He had received a letter from Browning Edwards enquiring about his brother’s health which was evidently the composition of the ladies, but they must flot have ’dust thrown in our eyes’ and he hoped that Mr. Bettiss would attack Mr. Jones every time he met him.
