LETTER: George Bettiss, Caernarfon, to W Glynne Griffith, Bodegroes, stating that he called at Ty Mawr where Mr. Rowlands told him that he had no money to send W G Griffith in account of the repairs. He then discusses the £1000 to be transferred from Lord Newborough’s account to the Beaumaris [Biwmares] Corporation. He also discusses the matter of the right of Gelligrin, Gallt y Calch and other farms of Lord Newborough on Gwyllt Tecwyn, stating that he has written to William Elias for Brown’s survey of the farms’ acreage and to Edward Jones, Gelligrin, to know the extent of the farms’ respective right on Gwyllt Tecwyn. He stated the meeting is on a day when neither he nor W G Griffith could be present, though William Elias may be there, leaving the matter in the hands of the Ellises. He adds that he hopes that the matter of five farms’ deficiency in the sum of £100 has been settled and would like to know how the deficiency arose.
