LETTER: Farrars and Co., Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, to George Bettiss, Caernarfon, informing him that they had seen particulars of Mr. Bankes’ property, which appears to be of the annual rent of £450 and for which Mr. Bankes asked £1800. This price was so enormous that it was not worth listening to. They were pleased that he had been able to procure for Lord Newborough some benefit from the slate. The trustees could not have any objection to proceedings so advantageous as he described. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 3002]
