LETTER: Farrars and Co., Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, to George Bettiss, Caernarfon, informing him that Mr. Coutts Trotter agreed with them that it would only be right out of respect of the memory of his late Majesty to cover Lord Newborough’s galleries or seats in the churches with black. He was not to incur a larger expense than was necessary. The money which Mr. Rowlands advanced towards Mr. Jones’ purchase must be charged in his account of disbursments as the trustees had no means of repaying it. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 2992]
