LETTER: Alfred Pellegrini, Trinity College, Dublin, to Thomas Atkinson, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, enclosing some papers re a claim on the estate of the late Lord Newborough. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 2537] Enclosed: LETTER: (23 December 1811) Joseph Gheri, Baggot St., Dublin, to Thomas Atkinson, Esq., Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, stating that he had received two letters from Lord Newborough in Italian when he was friendly with his Lordship’s son, John Wynn. He had taken care of Lord Newborough when he was arrested in France and was in the tower of Belvedere. If his name was not mentioned in his Lordship’s will he felt that the letters would be sufficient to show his entitlement to a legacy. He enclosed some translated documents and states that although three pictures were in the chapel at Glynllifon in 1781, the six pictures of miraculous events were not, as he had not perfectly finished them. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 2538] LETTER: (27 December 1798) Lord Newborough, to Mr. Gheri, assuring him of his friendship and that "the young gentleman" remained always under divine protection. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 2539]
