LETTER: Robert Carreg, Caernarfon to [?Sir John Wynn], reporting on his journey to Conwy and Denbighshire. All the Conwy rents came in apart from H Jones of the Harp for a meadow and Mr. Hugh Evans for the Abbey. Mr. H Evans gave him Mr. Panton’s award re Cowlyd boundaries. William Jones has repaid the £20 advanced to his son with much thanks; he is against his son going to America, but as he is determined to go, would be grateful for a letter of introduction to any of [Sir John’s] acquaintances living there.
