LETTER: Thomas Wynne to his son Gruffith Wynne alias Bodvell at Bodvean. He has sent £10 by Mr. Hugh Morres, whose brother lives at Abererch, for the charges for conveyance by coach. John Morres will pay the money over at Pwllhely [Pwllheli]. He will arrange a room at Chester or Salop when he hears the day he will travel. The servants are all to be discharged, with a promise of re-engagement on their return. An inventory of all goods left behind is to be made, and the goods locked up. Griffith White is to be sent for, set about his business, and told to send money on as soon as he gets any. He is not to travel with Mr. Roberts’s children. He is to try to persuade the parishioners to hasten repairing Bodvean Church; an honest slater must be found. He (T.W.) will then undergo a good part of the charge. Appended: DRAFT LETTER [n.d.] in reply to above. Gruffith has now received the money from his father per John Morres. His sisters want to go by the Chester coach and he waits to receive his instructions as to the coach. He asks for a rent-roll to give to Gruffyth White. Gruffith Prichard claims the horses ate over two bushels of rye when they trespassed in Robert Morres’s corn. R.M. is however prepared to accept 4s. He asks whether the plate should be sent to Aunt Gruffyth’s. And: LETTER [n.d.] ?Hugh Morres to his bro. John, to explain the circumstances of Mr. Thomas Wynne’s sending £10 to his son.
