FILES emanating from the Clerk’s Dept. and transferred as one batch to Modern Records Limbo, and thereafter weeded and selected for permanent preservation. The Limbo order is retained here. Most files have an original reference number commencing with the letters ARP, but others have a simple mnemonic initial reference number which would, despite the recorded provenance, suggest an internal ARP Department filing scheme; the reference is noted after the file title in each case. The files in this class refer basically to matters of policy, personnel, county-wide co-ordination and general administration. Despite the cover date, most files relate to the years 1939-1945.
