LETTER: Hugh Jones, Llanrhaiadr, to Capt. Tracy, at the Golden Flowerpot, Southampton St., Covent Garden. He cannot find Mr. Owen Salesbury’s settlement in the house or in the St.Asaph registry but there may be a copy in Roger Salesbury’s answer to Mrs. Weaver’s bill in chancery. He has sent an attested copy of R.S.’s will. Griffith Roberts, when he could not prevail in the ecclesiastical court, thought it best to acquiesce in hope of prevailing with Mr. Pughe and the trustees for the children. He will endeavour to see no concessions are made until Capt. Tracy comes to the country and thinks the latter will find it very unreasonable and a great injury to the parishioners. They cannot float the timber down the Dee because of the rocks. He has sent to the person who is to return the money, and it should be paid soon. Mrs. Pugh and the children are well. [N.L.W.
