COPY WILL of Miss Mary Lewis of Caernarfon. She appoints as her executors her cousin David Jones, farmer, of Cefn y cad, Caerns., and her friend, David Davies of Liverpool, commission merchant. She asks to be buried wherever she may die and in a plain oak coffin without any unnecessary expense. To her sister Elisa Lewis she leaves her clothes and jewels. To her sisters Margaret Lewis and Elisa Lewis she gives the use of her silver during their lives and any chidren of them, after this it is to go to her niece Mary Hanmer Griffith, wife of Rev. David Hanmer Griffith. To the said niece she leaves her french silver mounted workbox and contents and Her Church Service Companion and a set of religious works bound in purple and gilt. To her old friend, Mrs. Ann Kirby of No. 3, Isabella Place, Camberwell New Road, Surrey she leaves 19 guineas. To David Jones and Anne Jane Davies (daughter of the said David Davies) she leaves 19 guineas each. To her trustees she leaves £500 to be invested and the annual produce and income is to go to her sister, Margaret Lewis and another £500 it to be invested for her sister Elisa Lewis. All the residue of the personal estate shall go to David Jones and David Davies, her executors. Any remaining moneys is to be invested for the use of her niece, Mary Hanmer Griffith, after her death this shall be paid to her husband, Rev. David Hanmer Griffith and then to their children. The will is witnessed by William Henry Jones, Manager of North & South Wales Bank, Caernarfon and John Davies of Pool Street, Caernarfon.
