LETTER: David Thomas, London, to his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Thomas, People’s Cafe, Castle Sq., Caernarfon, acknowledging letter and parcel. He had not come out of the last exam very well. The reason being he had not read the books from which the questions were asked. They have another test coming up in Equity and he is working for it. Asks for £2 as he had to buy "Church Law" for 7/6d. He is now living on about 12/- a week. He was sorry to hear about Capt. Griff. Williams. He had received a letter from his Uncle Henry asking him to write to John to see if he could get him back, his writing to John would not be any good, but if his father had a word with him it might be of some good. Asks them to enquire from John what became of Griff Williams’ case in Bangor. He had heard of a mishap that occurred to one of the skaters in the park when he sprained his ankle. He hopes they are able to go about now. He had heard that about 5000 were skating on a lake in Regent’s Park but had not seen them himself as he is studying. Asks his parents to try and get John Thomas, Helen’s Cottage (should he come to Caernarfon) to purchase a few volumes of John Ruskin’s works - he would get them in America from about 2/- each, whereas they cost 187- in London, as he would like to have them. Attached: PROGRAMME of Dr. Joseph Parker’s sermons.
