NEWSPAPER CUTTINGS from the North Wales Express (dated 2, 16 and 30 Dec., 1898), Y Genedl, (27 Dec., 1898); Yr Herald Gymraeg (14 March, 1899); Y Werin (25 March and 6 Dec., 1899); and The Manchester Guardian (dated 11, 14 and 20 March, 1899), re official enquiry into the alleged irregularities of the account books of the collector of the rates for the parishes of Waenfawr and Llanbeblig. Also includes circular (Welsh) re taxpayers decision to ask the Board of Guardians of the Caernarfon Union to postpone the possible dismissal of the rate collector (Mr. Thomas Thomas) until the Report of the Local Government Board re the enquiry has been received. Also included is rough note giving dates of various meetings March-August, 1899.
