LETTER: Evan R. Davies at Town Clerk’s Office, Pwllheli to F.E. Andrews, esq., to say that his brother sent on to him plan and other enclosures of letter of 8 October. The London friend before whom put scheme was Mr. Ralph Raphael. Bank unable to entertain mortgage proposal. Mr. Raphael and friends believe more advisable to raise three or four mortgages for comparatively small amounts rather than one large amount. Suggestions made by Mr. Raphael and friends, and if F.E.A. can agree to scheme on these lines and minimum amount to be paid in cash is fixed at sum which can be reasonably negotiated, Mr. Raphael’s financial friends will find £20,000 for immediate development. Assurance would not be trouble finding further money for development. De not believe if possible to develop on large scale at once. Request F.E.A. and Mr. Lloyd can fall in with suggestions made. Meeting can then be arranged in London to discuss matter and definitely agree on scheme. Request to know what notice required to determine tenancies of Mitre Hotel and other properties forming part of Mitre Hotel.
