LETTER: W.A. Madocks to R. Potts, Serjeants Inn, Fleet Street, London, asks whether he has received the money from Mr. Murray? Mr. J. Williams has sent the recipient £l06 of the Garreg Gwen rents. He encloses the account of the remittances sent to R. Potts since the last report. There is a small allotment of land, which joins on to the new allotments given to Carreg Gwen and Glan Morfa farms, which can be purchased from Mr. Price for £6O and which will be of great benefit to Carreg Gwen farms. He has no objection to its being bought for the benefit of the estate, if Mr. Knowlys concurs, out of the rent of the current year, and whatever the final arrangement the estate will be more than proportionally improved in value. It will sell for more, or be more acceptable to a Mortgagee. A speedy answer is necessary as the sender has had first refusal. The gentleman will give £800 for the assignment of the proportion of Lady Andover’s Mortgage and leave the remaining balance in the estates. Endorsed: In Chancery Knowlys v. Madocks Clarke v Do. Shewn to Edward Potts on his examination for the Pl[aintiff]s.
