NOTE: Mr. John Williams, Embankment Office will read the enclosed to Miss L. Owen and have the goodness to send it forward. He will also see by the other note directed to Mrs. Ellis that Mr. Williams Pwllheli’s cart and horses will readily attend next Monday. Mrs, Ellis did not wish to ask a favour personally of Mr. Rice of the Crown, Pwllheli but requested Mr. Williams to suggest to him the propriety of coming forward; she hopes he may send his team, but has not much dependence on 2 men who does not act from the first warm compulse of his heart, upon such an occasion. Mr. John Williams may depend on trusty teams from the friends and tenants of Gwynfryn for 3 days each, exclusive of Priestly tenants (amounting to about twelve) for 3 days each in the course of next week, Mr, & Mrs. Ellis are most happy to hear so good an account of the work. Mr. John Williams may be assured that no one in the country whom they have the power to interest shall be left unsolicited. They trust that Mr. Madocks upon his arrival will not only cheer his friends and workmen, but he himself cheered by the happy progress and success of the work. Endorsed: Mr, & Mrs. Ellis were informed this evening that the support of 300 men was arriving from Lady Penrhyn’s Quarries - they anxiously hope this report is correct.
