1 bundle of correspondence of Messrs. Poole and John Price, etc., re business of Sir Robert Williams, Bart., M.P. These include letters re finding a lender willing to lend money at interest to Sir Robert Williams, Bart.; a letter (3 January, 1797) from Sir Robert Williams to Poole, thanking him for attempts to raise a loan and adding that if he had succeeded he would have been made comfortable for life under his system of building up a good estate and depending on loans for his short term expenses. Also various letters (1798) complaiing of the difficulties of finding lenders at this time.
