COPY WILL of William Williams of Pentir, co. Caernarfon, gent. To the Cathedral of Bangor leaves 20/-. To the parish church of Pentir leaves 20/- and his large Welsh common prayer book and Welsh bible. To his eldest son William Williams leaves all the furniture in the Hall and to his wife Jane 40/- to buy a ring. To William Williams leaves all the furniture in the parlour and all the bedsteads in the house and all the brewing vessels. To his servants Mary Jones and John Edwards leaves 5/- each. Under a power reserved to him in a deed of settlement of 25 Chas. II to levy a charge on certain lands after his death for the benefit of his younger children, he leaves to eldest daughter Anne Green £10 and to her daughter Mary Green £40 unless she marries without her grandmother’s consent in which case the money is to go to her brother William Green. To his daughters Litticia [Letticia] Vaughan and Jane Wynne leaves £20. To his daughter Margaret leaves £5. To his son Jeffrey Williams leaves £5 if he is still living. To his second son Henry Williams, clerk and rector of Llanfaethlu leaves £20. To his eldest son William leaves all his interest in lands in Ireland. To his cousin Jeffrey Williams of Trertharn, co. Stafford leaves his 2 sticks, asking him to look over his will. The rest of his estate he leaves to his wife Anne whom he appoints executrix.
