Pori'r archifau

X/POOLE/1945

MINUTES of Mr. Humphrey Owen’s evidence re arrangements made 20 years ago for the tenancy of Llanfagdalen and Nantlle made between William Hughes and Humphrey Owen. The farms were first let to Humphrey Owen as a "Pentir", he paying half his crops, but when this proved unprofitable he took the farm at £100 a year - he paying all rates and taxes. Hughes was to keep the house in repair and Owen the lands. Owen claims he has laid out money on fencing and ditching.
