1. Hugh Jones of Cae’rhun, clerk, and Hugh Davies of Cae’rhun, esq., eldest son of Hugh Jones by Grace his late wife. 2. Humphrey Roberts of Bryn y Neuadd, esq. LEASE AND RELEASE of meadow called Y Weirglodd ddu, pa. Cae’rhinn adjoining 3 meadows of Catherine Roberts (the wife of H.R.) called Morfa yr Varchwell, Gweirglodd Gron and Gweirglodd felen; and quillet of meadow ground called Cammedd yr Afon lying intermixed with Morfa yr Varchwell; and chief or fee farm rents of 2 shillings and of 4 pence p.a. issuing out of the estate of Varchwell (the latter rent lately purchased by 1 from the late Duke of Ancaster); excepting the right of Catherine Roberts and of several other persons of and to a road or way by through and over the meadow called Gweirglodd ddu to Morfa yr Varchwell, and several other lands thereinnto abutting and adjacent. Consideration: conveyance by H.R. and Robert Wynne, esq., bearing equal date, of piece of meadow ground called Gwerglodd y Pant to Hugh Davies, and £31.5.6d. Enclosed: 1. Rev. Hugh Jones of Caerhun, clerk, and Grace his wife, and Hugh Davies, of Caerhun, esq., eldest son and heir apparent of Rev. Hugh Jones and Grace his wife. 2. Catherine Roberts of Varchwell, widow, and Humphrey Roberts of Bryn y Neuadd, esq., eldest son and heir apparent of Catherine Roberts. AGREEMENT (30 June 1743) for the ending of actions concerning the claim of Catherine Roberts to a road through the meadow called Y Weirglodd ddu to Morfa’r Varchwell, pa. Caerhun, and for settling costs in the same, touching premises as above.
