LETTER: Unspecified at Caernarfon to `honoured Sir’ stating that he has paid John Jones, grandson of John Parry the receiver of the letters’ nephew, £10 out of the £100 that he was sent by him. He has written to Evan Thomas of Llanerch-y-Medd, who is married to Catherine Parry’s daughter to tell J.J. about it and he brought the writer a letter from E.T. identifying himself and he then gave him the money. He appeared to the writer to be a religious young man and he asked him many questions about his relatives. He said that W. Jones, Llus dylas’s daughter was getting married to the Rev. W. Richards, Llanerch-y-Medd’s, son the friday before. J.J. is described as being a good looking young man, healthy, blooming countinance of a short stature, and he has no doubt he will make the best use of the money. Endorsed i) ADDRESS of the Elders of the Calvinist Methodist to all their friends and well wishers in Co. Caernarfon, stating that during the last 30 years they have built places of worship in the Co. and that there are about 60 belonging to their connection where `multitudes assemble’ every sunday and thousands of children are taught to read the scriptures and `instructed in the principles of the Christion Religion’. ii) NOTE re. how chains are fastened to the ground and to the pillars of a bridge.
