l. George Hay Dawkins Pennant of Penrhyn Castle, esq. 2. George Bettis of Caernarfon, Gent, and William Williams of the Castle Inn, in the town of Bangor, inn-keeper. MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT whereby 2. agrees to give up to l. on 12 Nov. next the farm and lands called Pen y bryn, pa. Bangor, with the inn formerly called the Mitor, now called the Castle together with the farm buildings, cottages and other appurtenances belonging thereto and also the hill or sloping ground formerly part of the said farm of Penybryn called the Mountain, and 1. agrees to give to 2. on 12 Nov. next in exchange for the aforesaid lands, the farm and lands called Tyddyn yr Order pa. Bangor, with the farm buildings and other appurtenances thereto belonging (except the house and premises called Castle Bank and the adjoining field), also the several fields called Pen y chwyntan, pa. Bangor, together with an abatement of £70 p.a. in their present rent of the said Castle Inn and lands now amounting to £300 p.a, and an allowance of £25 for one year’s rent of the Pen y chwyntan fields in consideration of their not having possession of the same till 12 Nov. 1824.
