WILL of John Morris of Caernarfon bequeathing messuages, lands, tenements, fields, closes, parcels of lands and hereditaments with the appurtenances, pa. Llanrug known by names of Drws y Deugoed, Cae Newydd, Cae’r Wethys, Erw Geyn, Cae’r Gethin and Bryn y Clochydd, and a quillet in the lands of William Rowlands of Crug, messuage, tenement and several quillets of land, pa. Nevin, to his nephew, John Morris and his assigns, for and during the term of his natural life, and after his decease to the first son of his nephew, John Morris and to the heirs of the body of the first son or in default of such an issue to the next son or in default of such an issue to the first daughter. If his nephew dies without issue of his body lawfully begotten, all premises are bequeathed to the Right Reverend Father in God, John, Lord Bishop of Bangor, John Jones, Doctor of Divinity, and Dean of Bangor, Rowland Wynne of Caernarfon, Esq., Thomas Wynne of Glascoed, gent., Hugh Lewis of Bontnewydd, Esq., Robert Wynne, Rector of pa. And pa. Church of Llanddeiniolen in the said co. Caerns., and to their heirs and assigns forever providing they pay out of the yearly rents the sum of ten pounds towards educating or apprenticing yearly of one or two poor boys of pa. Llanrug and one or two other poor boys of the Town of Caernarfon and the liberties thereof. [2 copies]
