LETTER written on paper issued by the Y.M.C.A. for soldiers on active service with the British Expeditionary Force from Will, medical Hut, 14th Batt. R.W.F., France to Now, (Mr. Owen Jones) Glanrafon Farm, Bontnewydd, answering a letter he had received that day. He was pleased that the recipient was alright and sticking to work and was sorry to hear about the blisters. He supposes that there was no sick parade there and that the recipient had got the boss taped Corporal Jones was not in the same battalion but they were in the same camp and he had received a letter from Now. Coporal Jones was `act Q M’ and was on the cadre with the writer so would not return until the division did unless he got leave. The sender was in charge of the medical hut for the division and there was plenty of work. He was receiving 6d. a day extra for the job. They were in camp outside a small village but were having plenty of sports, particularly football, and many competitions. He asks whether the recipient had started fishing, the weather was lovely there He asks if the recipient was going into khaki. He had received a letter from Jack who was in a con. camp, it was about time he should be home. He hopes the recipient won the prize at Glanrhyd and if he did to tell Dick Owen to remember the troops on O.A.S In Y.M.C.A. envelope.
