LETTER: David Williams, Tanrallt, Port Dinorwic, accountant and ship broker, to Messrs. Williams & Hughes, Borth-yr-Aur, Caernarfon, solicitors, re consents of William Edwards, pilot, and J. Morris. Asks for an advance of 2100 on Tanrallt as he has to pay the interest to Mr. Morris Owen on the 31st of that month, who had advanced him £80 some years ago of which £10 had been paid back. He could give him security for the payment of the interest of 5%. The life insurance with the Prudential Insurance Co. is £4.9s.10d. per annum, with profits added to the £100 of which 5 years have been paid, so the "advance of £100 would be so safe as the Bk. of England". Tanrallt is worth £250-£300 and he lists the number of rooms, sin of garden and its other advantages. Asks for the letter to be kept private in case he offends Mr. Morris Owen.
