Many of the details are marked on the map reference number XM4170/244. Also marked on the map is the Gotal, Cwm Bychan. This is a special feature of this area of Caernarfonshire and part of Merionethshire [Meirionyddshire]. It was a "shelter" with a rocky outcrop on the north side and a narrow strip of land.
