Digartref Cyf is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Support Worker.

If you are passionate about providing high quality supported housing services for young people aged 16 to 24, who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, and you want to help them make lasting positive changes in their lives and move onto longer term homes of their own, then we would like to hear from you.

The role of Senior Support Worker requires you to provide day to day support, supervision, and direction to a team of supported housing staff that support young people in 24 hour staffed hostels and dispersed accommodation. In addition, you would be required to deliver an effective housing management service, draw up staff rotas to ensure 24-hour staff cover and be available to cover on-call on a rota basis outside of your contracted working week, for which and additional payment is made.   

Ideally applicants would be expected to:

• have previous experience of staff management.

• have the passion and desire to deliver a high-quality service to vulnerable and complex young people that have been at risk or experienced homelessness.

• Have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety issues including risk assessments.

• have excellent IT skills.

• enjoy working as part of a dedicated and diverse team.

• have excellent communication and people skills.

• be able to drive and have access to a car.

The successful candidate will be required to work to cover some rota shifts which may include weekends, evenings and waking nights. Some shifts will require you to lone work.
