Location
The location of the post is to be discussed, but the Mentor will be required to work regularly across the County.
Purpose of the Post.
• The Employment Mentor will work within the Gwaith Gwynedd Delivery Team. The post holder will have responsibility for providing support and mentoring for individuals who are in in-work poverty, by helping them increase their income.
• Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
Responsibility for functions . e.g. staff, budgets, equipment
• Specific budgets allocated to the project
• Personal equipment (IT equipment, mobile phone etc)
Main Duties .
• To work in conjunction with the Communities for Work Plus delivery team within Gwaith Gwynedd
• To regularly monitor, collate and update performance management information, reports and other monitoring requirements to ensure all monitoring is accurate and compliant.
• To have responsibility for supporting a caseload of clients, using a holistic, enabling and collaborative approach.
• To provide a flexible service, developing comprehensive support plans with clients and undertake further assessment and regular reviews as appropriate, in collaboration with CfW+.
• To be involved with the Triage Process within Gwynedd and ensure that all relevant support is accessed and available to the client.
• To develop comprehensive individual action plans with clients and undertake further assessment and regular reviews as appropriate, in collaboration with the wider Delivery Team
• To ensure that all personal data is effectively protected and handled, within locally agreed Information Sharing Protocols.
• To support individuals to address broad barriers to work; access to training, education, development opportunities and employment.
• To ensure that all records and client files are keep up to date, including inputting into regular Triage meetings.
• To work as an integrated team with the Mentors, Triage Support worker and wider CfW+ team.
• To carry out other tasks and responsibilities of a similar nature as determined from time to time by the manager in relation to the smooth running of the service.
• Responsibility for self-development.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
• Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
• Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
• Responsibility to report any worry or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused
Special Circumstances . e.g. the need to work unsociable hours, special working arrangements etc.
• The post holder is expected to work some evenings and weekends
• The post holder should be in possession of a full driving licence and have access to a private vehicle.
