UNDERTAKING by Hugh Pugh and Hugh Bumphrey, both of the township of Maesglassey ’not to chase any of the sheep, horses or cattle’ of Robert Evan, of the same township, depasturing on a certain common called Cefngwyn (bounded by a place called Yr Ole Wen and Nantcanol Esceirie in the said township), or ’otherwise disturb or molest him on his right’, the two having first paid him a guinea by way of satisfaction for ’frequently chasing and abusing his horses, sheep and cattle’.
