LETTER (draft) re the cases of Joseph Owen, indicted in July 1840 for an assault with intent to ravish and found insane, and Thomas Morgan, alias Jones, indicted in October 1842 for a similar offence. Having been inmates of the Chester Lunatic Asylum, both were returned to Dolgelley [Dolgellau] Gaol, and the letter is to accompany a medical certificate [probably to the Home Office].
